These animals are social creatures with a sweet, affectionate disposition.  Contrary to popular belief, donkeys are not dumb animals, but are actually very clever.  However, they often can be very stubborn.  It is said that Jesus rode a Sicilian donkey and thus explains the cross shaped marking on its back.  Eeyore and Sadie are the two donkeys that currently live at the zoo.
